Thousands lost power Saturday and early Sunday as tornadoes and severe storms raged across Tennessee. Strong winds knocked down limbs and trees which blocked roads and brought down powerlines across the region.
Sunday morning around 7am Central Time, Volunteer Energy Cooperative reported over 14,000 customers without power over numerous counties. That included at more than 4,400 VEC customers in Cumberland County and over 2,900 in Fentress County.
VEC advised customers that the quickest and most efficient way to report an outage is through their SmartHub app. You can find other contact information on vec.org .
