Man Takes Vacuum Cleaner Left Outside by Food City Employee

No charges were filed after a man took a vacuum cleaner left outside of Food City in Fairfield Glade.  According to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, an employee was cleaning outside of the store’s main entrance and briefly left the vacuum cleaner unattended.  Video shows a man later grabbed the vacuum and put it into a Chevy van.  Police were able to track the van down and the suspect said that since the vacuum was left near a trash can he assumed it was being thrown away.  The man gave the vacuum to police and it was returned to the store.  The man was issued a warning citation for expired tags.
