Human remains discovered in McCreary County, Kentucky, in October of 2023 have been identified as those of William “Will” Cross, of Scott County, who was reported missing in 2018. Cross, age 29, had reportedly been dropped off in Whitley, Kentucky on May 18, 2018. He was talking to a family member on his cell phone when around midnight he said he was walking into the woods. That’s the last time anyone heard from him. The Scott County Sheriff’s Office asks the community to keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
