On Sunday (3/23/25), the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office recovered human remains in a wooded area of Fiery Gizzard State Park. The remains have been positively identified as those of 31-year-old Tyler Curtis, a resident of Tracy City. Curtis was reported missing in late February after he walked away from the family home around midnight. He reportedly suffered from a medical condition and had not had his medication. The investigation remains active and while foul play is not currently suspected, the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office says it has not been definitively ruled out.
