The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is asking the community to join them in thanking and recognizing the exceptional dedication and compassion demonstrated by Deputy Jake Brink and  all of our first responders.

In a Facebook post the Sheriff’s office said that a “few weeks ago, an elderly resident in Rinnie suffered a serious fall in her driveway. Deputy Brink was in the right place at the right time, quickly calling for medical assistance, providing care, and staying with her until EMS arrived—even after her family got there. His kindness and commitment in that moment made all the difference.”

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office “recently received a heartfelt message from the resident and her family, expressing their deep gratitude. She is currently recovering and wanted to make sure that Deputy Brink and all the first responders involved knew how much their presence and compassion meant to her.”

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office says “this is a shining example of the dedication our deputies, EMS teams, and dispatchers show every day in serving and protecting our community—especially our most vulnerable citizens.” (Courtesy CCSO.)
