A man was arrested Saturday evening after allegedly making sexual and rude comments to staff and guests at the Super 8 motel East First Street and refusing to leave when ordered to do so by law enforcement. According to police reports, officers responded to the motel after management reported a male guest behaving inappropriately in the lobby. The manager told officers that she had refunded his money, and asked that he be removed and banned from the property. Officers attempted to make contact with the man, later identified as Nathan Robert Manis, 37, of Jamestown, in room 104. Despite repeated knocks and verbal commands, Manis refused to come to the door. When officers eventually gained entry to the room. Manis was found lying on the bed, smoking a cigarette, and continued to refuse verbal commands. When officers attempted to physically remove him, Manis actively resisted, tucking his hands beneath him and kicking one officer twice in the groin. He was ultimately handcuffed and taken into custody. He now faces charges of criminal trespass, resisting arrest, and assault on first responders.
