Man Arrested for Animal Cruelty After Cat’s Jaw Broken

A Crossville man was arrested after allegedly breaking a cat’s jaw during a violent outburst. On April 4, officers responded to a local animal hospital where staff reported that a cat had been brought in with severe injuries. The cat’s owner stated her boyfriend became angry after the cat defecated outside the litter box and attempted to choke the animal, resulting in a broken jaw. Officers charged 28 year old Kylar Gist with aggravated cruelty to animals.
