Woman at Center of Putnam County Missing Person Alert Dies in Nashville, Fatally Shot

A young woman at the center of a missing person alert in Putnam County died over the weekend in Nashville.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office says on Saturday (April 12, 2025) 23-year-old Cassidy Chalee Madison Jackson was reported missing by her family who said they had last spoken to her on Friday, April 11. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office issued an alert stating that Jackson was known to drive a 2022 white Hyundai Elantra and she was accompanied by an unknown male.

The Metro Nashville Police Department released a statement saying Homicide Unit detectives found Cassidy Jackson on Friday (April 11) lying unconscious in the roadway of Rachels Lane in Hermitage with trauma to her head.  She was transported to Skyline Medical Center where she died.  An autopsy revealed Jackson was fatally shot.
