Jury selection got underway Tuesday in Nashville in the federal trial of former Tennessee House Speaker Glen Casada. He and his ex-chief of staff Cade Cothren are both facing almost two dozen counts tied to a political mailing group that was funded with tax payer money. They are accused of bribery, kickbacks, wire fraud, money laundering and theft. The jury could hear from over a dozen witnesses, including current House Speaker Cameron Sexton who has cooperated with federal authorities in their investigation. If convicted, Casada and Cothren each face up to 20 years in prison.
