Cumberland County Year-to-Date Sales Collections Above Projections

Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster reports that February sales tax collections (for cash register receipts two months prior) for the BOE for this fiscal year came in at $1,155,681 which was $54,055 below projections.  Year to date, collections are $172,676 above projections.  Property tax collections were 96.79 percent compared to 99.29 percent in the prior year.  Hotel/Motel tax collections are $786,465, which is 62.85 percent of the annual $1,251,275.  With six months of revenue paid, prisoner boarding collections are $323,039 of a $386,952 annual budget.
