Tennessee’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 3.5% in April

Tennessee’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 3.5% in April, down one-tenth of a percentage point from the previous month. One year ago, the rate was 3.2%.

Tennessee’s rate continues to be well below the national unemployment rate, which was 4.2% in April. The U.S. rate held steady from the previous month and was 3.9% in April 2024.
