A Cumberland County man has been arrested for breaking into one woman’s home after he reportedly vandalized another woman’s truck.
Deputies were dispatched to the 800 block of Turner Road Monday afternoon for a caller who said her grandson, 39-year-old Ricky Dewayne Young, had struck her 2023 Ford Ranger several times with a piece of rebar. The attack caused over $1,600 in damage to the hood and fender.
While deputies were searching the area for Mr. Young, they received another 911 call from a nearby resident who said a man ran into her house without permission and refused to leave. Deputies entered the home and found Ricky Young sitting in a chair.
Young was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Burglary and Vandalism. His bound was set at $17,000 and he is due in General Sessions court on June 16th.
