South Cumberland County Takes Brunt of Tuesday’s Violent Storms

Flooding, winds and a possible tornado ravaged portions of south Cumberland County Tuesday evening. Several homes in the Breckinridge area were reported damaged while flooding damaged roads in the Flynn’s Cove Road area. Storm damage has also been reported in the Vandever community and areas along 127 South, as well as some roads in Fairfield Glade. Weather stations in Tansi and Hillendale areas south of Crossville reported up to four inches of rain.
