Fugitive Wanted Since 2018 Caught in Cookeville

A fugitive wanted since 2018 was caught early Friday morning (5/23/2025) in Cookeville.

Joshua Kane Love was apprehended at a residence on Greenland Avenue.

Also found at the residence was Ashley Green, who had been questioned multiple times over the past few years regarding the whereabouts of Love and had denied knowing him. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office said evidence confirmed that Love had been residing at the home with Green

Love was taken into custody on outstanding warrants for Aggravated Burglary, 2 counts of Violation of Probation and Failure to Appear on a Felony Charge. Additionally, Love was found to be in possession of a firearm and decoy law enforcement badges. As a convicted felon, he was also charged with Unlawful Carrying or Possession of a Weapon. Love has a court date of July 17, 2025.

Ashley Green was also arrested and charged with Accessory After the Fact for harboring a fugitive. Green has a bond set at $8,000 and a court date of June 23, 2025. (Photos courtesy PCSO.)
