Tennessee Governor Bill Lee on Tuesday signed “Savanna’s Law”, which is a registry of persistent domestic violence offenders.
Savanna’s Law is in honor of Robertson County Sheriff’s Deputy Savanna Puckett who was murdered in January 2022. Deputy Puckett was shot 9 times at her Springfield home which was also set on fire.
In a Facebook post the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office said, “Savanna dedicated her life to protecting members of our community. Though she was taken from her family and Sheriff’s Office family too soon, her legacy lives on in protecting domestic violence victims for the state of Tennessee.”
