The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office apprehended two escapees from Morgan County on Thursday (June 5, 2025). Jeffrey Brindly and Robert Syverson were both being held on felony warrants in Morgan County before being transferred to the Morgan County Residential Recovery Court facility. On Tuesday (June 3) Putnam County Deputies found an abandoned van at Odd Fellows Cemetery near Buffalo Valley Road that was registered to the Morgan County Residential Recovery Court and been reported stolen. Further communication with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office revealed the pair had escaped on Monday. Brindley is known to have ties in Putnam County and after numerous interviews he and Syverson were caught Thursday at a residence on Elm Street in Baxter. There were held at the Putnam County Jail awaiting pickup from Morgan County.
