The White County Sheriff’s Office is advising motorists that beginning Monday, June 9th crews will begin removing the railroad tracks between Fred Hill Road and Mayberry Street/McMinnville Highway. All lanes of Highway 111 will be closed in the area starting at 9am on Monday. Plans are to have the roadway reopened by Tuesday evening, June 10th. Detour signs will be in place. Motorists in Sparta are encouraged to slow down and use caution in the area and follow signage.
