It may only be June but the two basketball teams at the University of Tennessee have found out how their Southeastern Conference schedule looks.
Tuesday the SEC released the Women’s basketball schedule which includes 16 league games for each team. The home/away opponent, that rotates each year, will be Mississippi State. Kim Caldwell’s Lady Vols will be hosting: Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Missouri, Texas, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt. The Lady Vols will be on the road facing: Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, and South Carolina.
Wednesday the Conference released the Men’s 25/26 league schedule which will have the Vols playing 18 SEC games with home/away games. Those three home/away games are all rivals to the University of Tennessee including Alabama, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt. The Vols will be hosting: Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt. Rick Barnes’ squad will be on the road taking on: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Missouri, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt.
Hoops season will start for the Lady Vols on November 4th as they go to Greensboro to take on the North Carolina State Wolfpack. The Men will open up their season on November 4th as well, they will host the Gardner-Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs in Knoxville.
