Putnam County Mayor Randy Porter has announced the dedication of the Nathan Walker Sports Complex at Black Bottom in Monterey, named in honor of the late Mayor Nathan Walker. This multipurpose facility, home to the Burks Panthers and Wildcat Soccer Teams, now features a new facility sign, renovated bathrooms and concessions, and resurfaced softball and soccer fields. Mayor Porter said it was great to have Mayor Walker’s children visit all the way from Texas. This was a joint project between Monterey City, Putnam County and a State Grant.
