Beginning July 1, Tennessee is strengthening its digital safety laws by making it a criminal offense to produce or possess AI-generated child pornography. The “Preventing Deepfake Images Act” also allows victims to pursue civil and criminal action if intimate images are shared without consent. Lawmakers say the move closes legal gaps in the rapidly evolving field of synthetic media and AI abuse.
