Crossville Police were dispatched to a bomb threat at Rumors Bar & Grill around 1:30 Sunday morning (6/29/2025). According to reports, the anonymous caller stated there was a bomb at Rumors that would be “going off” in 30 minutes. The establishment was evacuated and an hour later deemed safe. No injuries were reported.
After listening to a recording of the bomb threat call and comparing it to previous recordings of a subject who identified themselves as 53-year-old Angela Patterson, Police obtained a warrant on Ms. Patterson for Filing a False Report. A Deputy located Patterson at her residence and she was transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center. Patterson denied making the bomb threat.
