A man hit by a stray bullet on July 4th at Twin Creeks Marina in Middle Tennessee has died. Winchester Police identified the deceased as 61-year John Cobb of Springfield, Tennessee. It happened between 9:10 and 9:25 Friday night. Given witness testimony and preliminary findings, it is believed the bullet was fired recklessly into the air and struck Mr. Cobb on its downward descent. Anyone with information of a rifle being fired into the air in or around the Winchester area on July 4th is asked to call the Winchester Police Department.
