A Cumberland County man stopped during a DUI Checkpoint on Peavine Road faces multiple charges. Crossville Police report that 48-year-old John Edward Russell was charged with Simple Assault on a First Responder after he head butted an officer. Additionally, Russell was charged with Resisting Arrest and Driving on a Revoked License. Police say Mr. Russell also has two prior Felony VOP arrest warrants.
