Members of the TBI Sex Offender Registry Unit assisted the Fentress County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Marshals Service in a sex offender compliance operation this week, named “Operation Summer Check”. The two-day operation began on Monday, August 11th. Law enforcement teams conducted compliance checks on 41 registered sex offenders. Of those, 31 were in compliance. Ten were non-compliant and arrested on charges related to being in violation of the sex offender registry. The Fentress County Sheriff’s Office thanked the TBI, U.S. Marshals Service and the hard work their Deputies put in to make “Operation Summer Check” a success. (Photo courtesy TBI.)
