The Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development reports the state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in July was 3.6%, an increase of one-tenth of a percentage point over June’s rate. One year ago, the rate was 3.4%. Tennessee’s rate remains well below the U.S. rate, which was 4.2% in July and unchanged from a year ago.
