A human leg found in a creek in Robertson County on July 4th has been identified as belonging to a man on the Sheriff’s Most Wanted list. According to DNA testing, the leg belongs to 68-year-old Joseph Frank Benton Sr. No other body parts have been found and foul play is not suspected at this time. It’s also unclear if authorities think he is deceased. As of August 27th (2025), Joseph Frank Benton Sr. was still listed as Wanted by the Robertson County Sheriff’s Department for Violation of Probation.
