Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster has proclaimed September as Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and urges all citizens to work to prevent suicide and to raise awareness and compassion around all people affected by this tragedy. The Mayor’s proclamation notes that more than 1,200 lives are lost to suicide in Tennessee each year.
