Sixteen people are believed to be dead after an explosives processing plant blew up in Bucksnort, Tennessee on Friday. No survivors have been recovered. Officials say two people initially feared missing were not at the plant when the blast occurred and are alive. The deadly explosion occurred around 7:45am Friday (October 10, 2025) at Accurate Energetic Systems (AES), which is in Hickman County near the Humphreys County line. AES processes ammunition and explosives used in both defense and commercial markets. The cause of the blast remains under investigation.
