Fireball Seen in Cumberland County and Across Middle Tennessee Early Tuesday Morning

A bright fireball was captured by security cameras in Cumberland County and across Middle Tennessee early Tuesday morning (October 14, 2025).  It streaked across the sky around 2am.  The celestial event is  believed to have been a meteor burning up in earth’s atmosphere.  According to the American Meteor Society, both the Orionids and Southern Taurids meteor showers are currently active. The Orionids will peak October 20th and 21st.
