Property tax collections are slightly ahead of last year’s pace, standing at 25.54%. Hotel/Motel tax revenue has reached almost $360,000 year to date, down from $385,000 last year. Payments received for housing state inmates has seen a significant increase, rising to $237,185 year to date compared to $87,494 last year. Overall, county officials reported strong sales tax performance and steady revenue progress in several categories as the fiscal year continues.
