A two-vehicle crash on I-40 east in Putnam County on Saturday blocked one lane at the 294 mile marker. It happened around noon. According to the THP, a 17-year-old driver from Kansas was driving east in a 2024 Kia Forte when traffic began slowing down abruptly. The Kia collided into the rear of a vehicle driven by a 77-year-old man from Tennessee. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and no injuries were reported. The THP listed no pending charges.
