New Financial Numbers for Cumberland County Show a Mixed Bag for November

Sales tax revenue remains strong for Cumberland County according to the latest figures revealed during Monday’s County Commission meeting. Sales tax collections came in at over $1.4 million, putting the county more than $200,000 ahead of projections for the year. Property tax collections are also outpacing last year’s numbers. However, EMS revenue is lagging. The ambulance service is down nearly $382,000 year-to-date. Officials say that shortfall is partly due to a third-party billing error, which has since been corrected.
