The Cumberland County Playhouse has announced that former longtime Producing Director Jim Crabtree has passed away. He was the son of Playhouse founders Paul and Mary Crabtree. On Facebook the Playhouse said, “Jim devoted 60 years of his life to theatre in rural Tennessee — a life defined by imagination, courage, and an unshakeable belief in the power of the arts.” He retired from the Playhouse in 2016.
