The Rhea County Sheriff’s Office is warning of a scammer impersonating Lieutenant Keith Myers and claiming to be collecting a fine on behalf of the Chief Deputy. The person also threatens jail time if you do not comply. This is a scam. The Rhea County Sheriff’s Office does not have a Lieutenant Keith Myers and would never contact you about unpaid fines in this manner. Do not provide any personal information and hang up if you receive such a call.
