An overdose scare at a Peavine Road gas station turned into a weapons arrest. Police were called to Mr. Zip’s after witnesses reported a man appeared to be overdosing while carrying a handgun. Officers arrived to find 33-year-old Justin Dykes inside the store with a pistol visible in his pocket. Police disarmed Dykes and recovered various pills, including Oxycodone. As a convicted felon, Dykes was arrested for unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a handgun while under the influence, and drug charges.
