Stone Memorial High School’s Wrestling dynasty hit another milestone on Thursday night as Head Coach Brian Parker scored his 300th victory as a head coach.
The 300th victory came in a big fashion as the Panthers shutout the Bearden Bulldogs 82-0. After the dual win Coach Parker took a picture with the score board to commemorate his 300th win. The night wouldn’t end there as the Panthers would have another shutout defeating cross town rivals Cumberland County 76-0.
Coach Parker’s career at Stone began in 2007 where he started with a losing record of 12-17 with mostly Freshman and Sophomores. It wouldn’t be until year three with the Panthers when Coach Parker would have his first winning record and since then SMHS Wrestling has never had a losing season.
Along with a slew on District & Region Championships Coach Parker and SMHS Wrestling has had 32 boys and girls become State medalists and have had over 100 State qualifiers.
Congratulations to Coach Brian Parker and Stone Memorial High School Wrestling.
