NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) has opened the Tennessee Disaster Information Line to support Tennesseans impacted by Winter Storm Fern who may still need information, resources, or assistance as recovery efforts continue across the state.
The Tennessee Disaster Information Line is designed to serve as a centralized resource for residents seeking up-to-date information related to storm recovery, available assistance, and community-specific guidance. The call center is hosted in Cookeville by Putnam County Emergency Management Agency, in partnership with Sycamore Church of Christ and Twin Lakes Telephone Cooperative.
The Information Line is staffed by trained volunteers from the host church and the local Putnam County community. Operators are in direct communication with TEMA and local emergency management agencies in impacted counties, allowing them to provide callers with the most current and relevant information for their specific area.
“This call center is truly being operated by Tennesseans, for Tennesseans,” said TEMA Director Patrick C. Sheehan. “Through strong local partnerships and dedicated volunteers, we’re able to ensure that those impacted by Winter Storm Fern have a reliable place to turn for help and accurate information.”
