A Crossville man faces life in prison following a 2024 crash in Kentucky that claimed the life of a 7-year old girl and seriously injured 4 others. According to State Police, 47 year old Joel Hammack was found guilty of murder, two counts of 1st Degree Assault, two counts of 4th Degree Assault, and Possession of Marijuana. The jury recommended life in prison for the murder conviction and the two counts of 1st Degree Assault, the maximum sentence allowable under Kentucky law. Final sentencing is scheduled for March.
