Soddy Daisy Officer Fatally Shoots Man During Traffic Stop, TBI Investigating

The TBI is investigating after a Soddy Daisy Police Officer fatally shot a man during a traffic stop early Tuesday morning (3/3/2026).  The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Brandon Hall. It’s not clear why Mr. Hall was shot.  The TBI said, “For reasons still under investigation, the situation escalated, resulting in the officer firing upon the subject, striking him.”  No law enforcement officers were injured in the incident.
