A Crossville man was arrested Friday (3/6/2026) after he allegedly stole a mini bike from the trunk of a car parked at Pomona Market on Sparta Highway. The victim said 39-year-old Brad Edward Kelly came into the store, confronted him briefly, and left the store. A witness saw Mr. Kelly load the victim’s bike into the trunk of a gold car. As he was fleeing the scene, Kelly reportedly hit a trailer parked near the road. A Deputy found a front bumper to a gold Honda in the edge of the parking lot and tracked the suspect to a residence on Claysville Road. The Deputy located a gold Honda Accord with a missing front bumper behind a barn on the property. The stolen mini bike was still in the trunk. Richard Kelly was transported for booking without incident. He was charged with Theft of Property, Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Property Damage, and Vandalism. Bond was set at $6,000 with an April 13th court date. The victim and his female passenger have both been banned from the property where the bike was recovered and another location on Claysville Road.
