An 18-year-old Crossville man has been charged with Aggravated Assault after he allegedly pointed a gun at numerous people during an altercation at Centennial Park. It happened Monday, March 9, 2026 shortly before 8pm near the basketball courts. Police located the suspect, Ryan Lane Norton, who confirmed there had been an altercation but denied ever displaying a firearm. Police later found a black Taurus G2C that had been tossed into the wood line of 70 Parkside Place. The gun had the same serial number of a weapon Norton had in his possession during a previous encounter with law enforcement in October 2025. According to police reports, there is also video evidence of a male matching Ryan Norton’s description tossing something into the woods where the gun was found. Mr. Norton’s bond was set at $10,000 with a March 16, 2026 court date.
