Press Release:
The VECustomers Share program through Volunteer Energy Cooperative (VEC) has awarded a grant of $900 to the Cumberland County Imagination Library to help continue its mission of inspiring a love of reading by providing free books to children from birth to age five in Cumberland County.
This grant is made possible through the generosity of Volunteer Energy Cooperative customers who choose to round up their monthly electric bill to the nearest dollar in support of the VECustomers Share program. These small contributions collectively allow the program to continue supporting meaningful community initiatives throughout the region.
Funds from this grant will help provide an age-appropriate book each month to children enrolled in the Imagination Library program in Cumberland County from birth until their fifth birthday.
For more information about the Cumberland County Imagination Library or to make a tax-deductible donation, please contact Treasurer James Houston at 931-484-6790 or visit The Art Circle Public Library, 3 East Street, Crossville, TN 38555.
