A Trooper in Cumberland County recently conducted a hazardous materials inspection and discovered serious load securement violations. The cargo was not properly secured, causing the load to shift during transport. Several Hazardous Materials packages were found loose and rolling around on the trailer deck, creating a safety risk for the driver and everyone sharing the roadway. Proper load securement is critical, especially when transporting hazardous materials. Taking shortcuts can lead to dangerous consequences. Always ensure hazmat loads are properly secured, compliant, and safe before hitting the road. Safety is not optional. Compliance saves lives. (Photo courtesy THP)
