Press Release:

The City of Crossville is proud to announce it has been awarded a grant to support the implementation of a comprehensive wayfinding signage system in Downtown Crossville. City officials emphasize that the project is part of a broader effort to support economic development, tourism, and community engagement.

This investment will improve navigation and accessibility throughout the downtown area by introducing clear, visually appealing wayfinding signage to guide residents and visitors to key destinations, local businesses, parking areas, and points of interest. The project is designed to create a more welcoming and user-friendly experience while encouraging exploration of the downtown district. To view proposed designs of the signage, stop by the City Clerk’s office in City Hall.

In addition to signage improvements, volunteers with Downtown Crossville Inc. have been working hard to improve the existing planters throughout downtown. Enhancements will include the addition of seating elements such as benches, decorative sculptures, seasonal plantings, and integrated signage. These improvements aim to beautify public spaces, create inviting gathering areas, and enhance the overall aesthetic of Downtown Crossville.

Work on the wayfinding system and planter upgrades has begun and is expected to be completed by the end of summer.

The City of Crossville appreciates the support of its partners and looks forward to bringing these enhancements to life for the community.
