Crossville City Council Approves In-City Water Rate Increase

During a special called session of the Crossville City Council on Thursday, the council approved a resolution increasing water rates inside the city limits from $6.28 per thousand gallons to $7.85 per thousand. According to Crossville Finance Director Nathan Clouse, even with the increase, city residents are still paying less than the cost of production of water. The rate for customers outside the city limits remains the same at $9.42 per thousand gallons.
