The Town of Pleasant Hill has opted to discontinue the use of its outdoor warning siren system, effective September 1, 2026. Officials say the existing outdoor warning system has led to confusion within the community due to instances of inaudibility, lack of detailed threat information, and cost effectiveness of maintaining an antiquated siren system.
