Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster has dispelled the rumor about a data center coming to the Westel area. In his County Mayor’s Notes, Foster said a landowner apparently said that if things didn’t change in the area, he might sell his property to a data center. Someone took that comment and turned it into a rumor that a data center was coming. Mayor Foster said if you hear something that concerns you, ask him about it rather than assume that it is true.
