The Community Action Coalition of Cookeville will host a Really, Really Free Market on Saturday, September 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Meadows Pavilion at Cane Creek Park in Cookeville.
The event gives community members an opportunity to share usable items, food, skills, talents, music and other resources with their neighbors completely free of charge. No money, sales or bartering are involved, and attendees are welcome to take what they need at no cost.
Those bringing items are asked to make sure everything is clean, usable and freely given. Participants are encouraged to bring their own blankets, tarps, tables or canopies and remain for the duration of the event rather than simply dropping off donations.
Volunteers are also needed to assist with setup and cleanup. For more information, to volunteer or to join the mailing list, email CAC4cookeville@gmail.com.
