A 15-year-old girl missing from Decatur, Alabama since September 3rd has been found at a home in White County, Tennessee.
The White County Sheriff’s Office received information that the teen has Type 1 diabetes, is insulin-dependent and did not have her insulin or diabetic supplies with her, which put her in danger.
In a statement released Monday, Sheriff Steve Page stated his deputies, along with the FBI found the girl at a home in Sparta.
Authorities then waited for the male suspect to return to the home and took him into custody.
The teen is safe and will be reunited with her parents.
Sheriff Page says the case remains under investigation.
It is unclear how the girl came to know this adult but will be determined after the investigation.
The suspect will be facing a number of charges.
The FBI is involved because he transported the girl across the state line from Alabama.
