Crossville Police Looking For Masked Suspects in Golf Course Gas Theft

Crossville Police are looking for six individuals accused of stealing gas from River Run Golf Course. According to reports, the suspects wore black masks with green glow-in-the dark smiley faces and all appeared to be male. When they were confronted by an employee, they threw rocks at him and another worker’s vehicle before running away. The employee said he observed on surveillance footage the subjects retrieving gasoline from a tank outside of the business. The tank contained an estimated $800 worth of gas. Police observed fresh tracks that are the size of a utility terrain vehicle leading to the area of the tank. The police report listed the offenses of Theft of Property and Aggravated Assault. The investigation is ongoing.
